About Us

Purpose

The San Diego Women Veterans Network is improving the coordination of service providers for women veterans, is creating a network of support for women veterans in our county, and is raising awareness regarding the needs of San Diego’s women veteran population.

Member Highlights

July

Synergy Learning Institute

 is a 501 c3 non-profit vocational/technical college that offers certificates for professional development and continuing education. We also offer veteran skills to success courses for returning American soldiers who have served in our armed forces. Courses are offered face-to-face or fully online. 

August

 Easter Seals, Bob Hope Veterans Support Program

Provides one-on-one employment services, as well as referrals to other resources, to meet the unique needs of military personnel and veterans transitioning out of the military into a civilian job or starting their own small business.

Wave Academy

Through Aquatic Bodywork Therapy, Wave Academy is helping veterans grappling with Post-Traumatic Stress move from depression, sleeplessness and suicidal ideation to better sleep, less pain and a more positive life outlook.

 The goal ofVetBizCommunity™ is to give both veterans and newly-separated military personnel the opportunity to explore viable and sustainable career options that will allow them to truly launch their future. They help veterans to explore their options for successful business ownership.

Courage to Call

l is a free, confidential, veteran-staffed 24/7 helpline dedicated to assisting active duty military personnel, veterans, reservists, guard members, and their families, regardless of discharge status, through information, guidance, and referrals. We offer an optional deeper level of care with case management and can assign a veteran peer navigator to your case. These “Navigators” will help you navigate the resources and will advocate on your behalf.
